On behalf of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and the Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware Chapter Convention Committee, we thank you for joining us at The ACI Convention and Exhibition, October 23-27, 2016, in Philadelphia, PA.

We reated an educational and technical program to cover several angles of the convention theme, "Revolutionary Concrete."

We were thrilled to have the opportunity to bring the convention to Philadelphia.

About the ACI Convention

The ACI Convention is dedicated to bringing together the leaders in the concrete industry. These individuals work to improve the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of concrete projects. Conventions provide a forum for networking and education and an opportunity to provide inut on the concrete industry's codes, specifications, and guides.

Committees meet to develop the standards, reports, and other documents necessary to keep up with the ever-changing world of concrete technology. Committee meetings are open to all registered convention attendees.

Technical and educational sessions provide attendees with the latest research, case studies, best practices, and the opportunity to earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs).

Additionally, the ACI Convention offers numerous networking events where you can expect to meet with many of the industry's top engineers, architects, contractors, educators, manufacturers, and material representatives from arount the world.

ACI, the Chapter Convention Committee, and the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of ACI are most grateful for the donations of our sponsors, whose contributions are crucial to the success of the convention. For information on our sponsors and on sponsorship opportunities, click here.

Pier Luigi Nervi. Art and Science of Building

A Revolution in Concrete

With his masterpieces scattered the world over, ACI Honorary Member Pier Luigi Nervi contributed to a glorious period for structural architecture. Nervi shared the cultures of architects and engineers, operating at the very intersection between the art and the science and technology of building. He was a designer, builder, researcher, creator of new construction techniques, professor, and author. Some of his greatest works are described in the context of his philosophy and technique.
